WHQ opened in 1993 on Malborough Crescent. From the start we promoted it by word of mouth & it was truly a family type vibe. It was very, very, very small & the kinda place where the floorboards literally jumped when a big tune went off. In 2003 with your support & crocodile jawed property developers munching at the tendons of our heels, we moved to our new premises at Curtis Mayfield House, days before they demolition of our original site. We all miss the old club but in these modern times you just can't get away with a club like that anymore. It was just so little & so, so magical, looking back it's as if it was a mad dream.

There is now a big gap on Marlborough Crescent, where it used to be. These photos record the now legendary, timeless vibe we built there & are promoting at our new location to this day.
