3. Pani's
Pani's is an authentic family owned and run Italian café/restaurant on High Bridge in Newcastle City centre, next door to 'Flying' records. Friendliness and attentiveness (though not at all in your face) come as standard and Pani's is the best value for money of any eating place in town. It does pizza, pasta and loads of specials, plus Italian beers and bomb coffee. All the food is beautifully fresh, comes quick and is of real high quality. Open in the day and at night, there is no excuse at all for not going here. What we like most about Pani's is the fact that it's more than just a restaurant, it's a shining example of one culture existing harmoniously with another. Also check it out, it's got no corners… might sound odd, but you'll know what we mean when you go.
